ABBIANCA

Abbianca is a former award-winning NCTJ-qualified journalist previously working for the Evening Standard on stories including the hidden child victims of lockdown, the girls exploited into criminal gangs, the effects of period poverty on homeless children living in Zimbabwe, and community affairs. In 2020, she won the NCTJ Top Scoop award, and the Richard Lindley Bursary award at the London Press Club for her storytelling. She's also a regular speaker on issues impacting young people in the workplace, schools and society and is part of the journalism advisory board of Oxford Brookes univeristy where she, alongside verteran journalists, provide the OICP with advice and support from leading journalism professionals.

Outside of her investigative journalism experience, Abbianca is good with content creation and strategy and has been able to gain extensive experience managing newsletters (publishing weekly letters to a community of 20,000), producing videos, recording podcasts, and creating engaging content for social media platforms and has liaised with freelancers to decipher the best stories to publish to get engagement from the target audience.
